We have recently completed the main house and lower porch roof replacement on Station Road in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire.
We removed the existing roof back to joists and re-felt and battened the roof using non-ferrous fixings. We used the highest quality Proctor Roofshield air and vapour permeable breather membrane.
We completed a full chimney restoration this included grinding out and re-pointing of the chimney stack, re-flaunching of the chimney stack, re-bedding of chimney pots, and installation of new lead soakers, flashings, and front aprons.
Our customer requested a pattern in the reclaimed slate, so we hand-cut hundreds of slates to create a diamond pattern on both the front and back of the roof and introduced some profile courses. We used the existing leadwork to re-cast it as a lead detail for the chimney and lead slate with roman numerals that we fixed to the lower roof.
