Re-roof From Start to Finish

1. Survey

During the roof survey, we identified a number of problems with the roof. The tiles were getting porous and cracking, the ridge tiles were loose and broken and the valleys were failing causing an internal leak.

It was at this point we decided that the roof was beyond repair and in need of a full replacement.

2. Removal

The first process when having a new roof is to carefully remove all of the old tiles or slates along with any old felt and battens.

We then make sure that the area is watertight by installing new breathable felt with felt support trays and treated batten.

3. Installation

The next process is the installation of your new roof covering. When choosing a new roof there are a large variety of slate and tile options available.

JR roofing will provide samples to ensure you get the roof that you require.In this particular instance, we installed a leading edge clay tile.

4. Dry Fix System

We complete your new roof with a dry fix system, this includes the mechanical fixing of ridge tiles as shown here.

Both meet British Standards BS5534 requirements and are 100% maintenance-free.

5. Finishing Touches

At JR roofing we maintain very high standards of workmanship and cleanliness.

All of our roofs are left spotless and looking fantastic.

6. Completion

Here is the finished product complete with all-new lead work.
