Why the customer contacted us...
Speaking to Simon, we were able to quickly understand exactly what he was looking for, replacements for two flat roofs. He explained that there are leaks, as well as the roofs not being practical, which was an issue as he was also looking for a balcony upgrade. He was looking for a permanent solution, as the balcony area needs to be non-slip with options of colour and design.
What was wrong with the roof?
During the survey, we found that we were looking at two, bitumen felt, flat roofs. It was quite evident that they had many failed, previous repairs, with leaks around the abutment and their door.
How we fixed the issue.
Our team removed the old bitumen felt roof membrane and replaced with Restec Flexitec 2020 roof covering. We upgraded the insulation in both roofs and installed lead flashing to abutments.
When installing the balcony roof, we had to remove the doors to build a cavity tray. The doors were re-installed afterwards.
We added roll detailing to add a premium look to the lean to flat roof and a non-slip coating to the balcony.
The finished result.
We were extremely happy to hear that we were recommended by Simon’s friends, showing the quality of our work and the professionalism of our team:
“Through recommendation from friends, we appointed JR Roofing to replace two large flat roofs, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
Josh and his team displayed professionalism and skill throughout the entire process. In a short period of time, they efficiently stripped, removed the existing roofs, and replaced them with new, explaining all works each step of the way. Once stripped it became apparent there were other works required which were dealt with, without hesitation. They went over and above to finish ahead of schedule to avoid the worst of the weather, and still did a fantastic job.
We hardly noticed they were there, the area was cleaned up daily leaving no mess. Overall, what a team, such a nice company to deal with, nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommended!”
