Fibreglass GRP Flat Roof Installation

GRP Fibreglass Roof in Lytham St Annes

At JR Roofing Lancs Limited, we completed a fibreglass GRP flat roof installation project in Lytham St Annes.

The customer initially contacted us through a recommendation because their existing fibreglass roof was leaking. The property required a complete replacement of its existing flat roof. We installed a warm roof construction incorporating the high-performance Restec Flexitec 2020 system.

The Process

Our specialist team removed the old roof covering and installed a timber frame to support the new roof lantern. We also fitted tilt fillets to improve water flow and prevent water pooling on the flat roof.

A timber sub-deck was installed, creating a solid foundation for the subsequent layers. We added a vapour control layer, which is vital in preventing moisture ingress. This layer is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the fibreglass warm roof, ensuring long-term durability and performance.

For superior insulation, we installed a 130mm PIR insulation board within the roof space to significantly improve the roof’s thermal efficiency. The roof was then re-boarded using OSB T&G sterling boards, providing a stable and durable surface for the GRP roof covering.

We installed trims around the roof edges, preparing the surface for the final GRP roof finish. Our fibreglass roof installers applied two layers of Restec Flexitec 2020 in dark grey. The GRP fibreglass roofing system is renowned for its long-lasting protection and minimal maintenance requirements.

We installed lead flashing to all abutments, and the Korniche roof lantern was carefully installed.

Internally, the area was boarded and plastered the ceiling to achieve a smooth and professional finish. The contractors ensured that the interior work complemented the new roof. Finally, our team removed all waste materials to ensure the site was clean and tidy.

Our Guarantee

As approved installers, we proudly offer a 20-year manufacturer’s guarantee on the Restec Flexitec 2020 system. Additionally, JR Roofing Lancs Limited provides a 20-year guarantee on our fibreglass warm roof installations.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We received a couple of quotes for a flat roof overlay, chimney stack re-flaunching and extensive ridge line maintenance ahead of selling our home. Josh and the team were brilliant from the outset, so we chose to go ahead with them for the repairs and we’re really glad we did.

The whole team were friendly, reliable and great at communicating, both before the work started and throughout the 3 days they were with us. We always knew how the work was progressing, and everything now it’s complete looks fantastic.

The price was very reasonable for the level of expertise and workmanship involved, and we genuinely feel like we’ve found a roofing company we can trust. We’re moving home shortly and already plan to use Josh and the team again for work on our new property, which is probably the best recommendation we can give.

Would definitely recommend :)

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Back in June, JR Roofing replaced my rear soffits which were extremely rotten and full of holes, as well as straightening out some wonky roof tiles. They were professional from start to finish with great communication, clear explanations and a wonderful job completed. Will definitely be using again in the future and would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Many thanks to Luke, Rhys and the team at JR Roofing who have just replaced my roof. They have been highly professional, come when they said they would come, and then worked hard throughout. They've explained things when I've asked and have been a thoroughly recommendable team - always polite and approachable. The roof looks super and so nicely finished. They cleaned up properly and took all the rubbish away with them too. Lin in the office has also responded quickly to phone calls and emails. The price was fair for the quality of the work and the guarantee is excellent. I liked the accreditations, and having Which Trusted Trader status gave me confidence that everything would be done as it should be done. I would recommend them without hesitation. An organised and very professional company.

Contacted JR roofing and sent some photos of a damaged ridge tile. Replied the same day and offered a very fair price. Arranged the repair the next day. Really good and friendly guys who turned up to do the work. Excellent service, would highly recommend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. JR Roofing carried out extensive roof repairs to our property making good very poor work by another firm.
The team were very efficient and tidy workers and did an excellent job without any significant disruption to our daily routine.
We would not hesitate if asked to recommend them on the basis of this experience.
